Sebastien… Our track champion

The Champ is backThis morning, Sebastien came back from Bangladesh from a 5 day regional school competition. This year he was competing in High School, with much stiffer and harder competition from his mates. He brought back 2 gold medals for the 100m and 400m relay, one bronze medal for the 400 m individual run and a place in the finals for the 200m with a 4th place for the 100m ( just beaten by 0.05 seconds)..Reaching for the stars

Read the interview with the champ on his home coming

His dad: Sebastien, how did it go?

Sebastien: Yeah… 400m, .. first time I ran that distance in competition of this level… didn’t really know how to do it…. just decided to do 4 x 100m on my own and sprint 4 times in a row..it worked. Just beaten because of the heat and humidity in Dhaka,..

Team work with Pat, Jo and Michael went really well… nobody could catch us.

For the short track…. net year I bring back 4 gold medals..

Dad: And what about the field   competition?

Sebastien: Dun’t know …the coach decided to put me on the discus throw… I strategized to kick the disk first,….. but did not really work… when the coach told me I had to hold the disk and launch it with a swing.. the competition was over..

I was hosted in a really nice family and always felt at home ……now I am going to sleep…

The new Website looks great! I think it’s an awesome way to keep everyone updated especially since we’re so far away. Can’t wait to continue with it (:
